OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATION EMAIL DESIGN
OFFICE OF ADMINISTRATION EMAILS
I was given the task to create email designs for prospective and current students. The project manager wanted something fun, simple but different from what they usually design. I utilized the pen tool to add a new flare to the admission emails since photographs have been highly used and can often be overlooked.
With minimal aesthetic and simple animations while following the UWM brand guidelines and uploading to be processed through Emma, they were appreciated by the senior designers in the department and I can’t wait to see these put into action.
CHANCELLOR HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE INVITE
For this project, I was to create a holiday-themed invite to the Chancellor's Open House event. The theme was "The Nutcracker" which gave me the idea of creating our mascot Pounce, as the Nutcracker. Utilizing the pen tool, pulling in our school colors, and creating a winter aesthetic with the snowflake, I created the official Pounce Nutcracker that was adored by everyone including the Chancellor himself.
SECC & CHS POSTER/POSTCARD
Although designing pieces that were left up to me for aesthetic, the State and University Employees Combined Giving Campaign (SECC) and the College of Health Services poster and postcards gave me the challenge of designing work that had possibly no reflection of my style in the final work. These projects have shown me that I can design just about anything. I used UWM branding with some fun elements that pertained to the chosen slogan with the target audience for the events being donors and prospective students.
FIRST DAY OF CLASSES GEOFILTERS
When I created the Snapchat geofilters for UWM's first day of classes, I wanted to make them student oriented but have some designs for faculty / staff as well. Coffee, our mascot Pounce and inside jokes for college students were the inspiration behind the graphics I created. With UWM branding still in use, the geofilters can be used for many years to come. It was amazing to see how many students enjoyed them.
